@Sanderde Canadian taxpayers pay his salary, pay for his home, his servants, his chauffeur... does he travel with security? Taxpayers pay it. And who funds the party? Donations from Canadian taxpayers.

The conservative party is more than flush with corporate donations, so the party paid for his business trip to collude with the Farange-Putin fascists in the UK and the aFD nazis in Germany. I expect the petrodollars in the pockets of the maple magacons will also pay for this trip to the USSA to collude with maga terrorists on how best to make Pierre a Governor. -

One thought about Pierre’s travel on the CPC’s dime is the more he travels the less taxpayers’ donated money in their war chest to spend on the next election.
He may think he’s showing himself to be prime minister material by visiting these foreign countries and meeting with important people there, but he’ll never be able to upstage Carney in the global arena.

@Sanderde I suppose there is also a benefit in having him out of the HoC, away from the Canadian media spotlight, in a land where the mainstream media have no idea who he is nor care... and his whinging Canada-is-broken slogans don't get any coverage.
