@AnnaAnthro@mastodon.social @stephanie@ottawa.place When Trump started threatening us and attacking science we could have massively invested in basic science and got them to come, but instead we went with austerity and public sector cuts and now any scientist worth anything is going to flee to Europe instead of Canada.
