I used to live the other side of the hills, and recall 30 years ago a quick drink after work with a small group. One cishet woman dashed off home to Hebden Bridge to collect her 10yo son from his #aromatherapy class.
@2legged Some years ago I randomly got off the train in Hebden Bridge and walked along the canal to Mytholmroyd. (Weird place names...) Did not stay longer in the area though, but definitely want to go back for a few nights sometime, lovely landscape. And the vibe of Hebden Bridge sounds like a definite additional plus.

@tml if you get more time in Hebden Bridge, the Trades Club is a very special music venue. Hippies, cloggies, lefties, fine music, great bar.
