@caseyliss Plex on Synology but playback via Infuse cos for some unfindable reason, Plex says the (gigabit Ethernet!) connection to the 4K ATV is “too slow to play this content” even for 720p h265 files. Infuse has no issues. So weird. Gave up debugging years ago. Luckily Infuse syncs with Plex libraries.

@caseyliss Plex currently, but starting to look for alternatives as it becomes worse release by release.

@caseyliss I use SMB file sharing and then the client that I primarily use, Kodi (formerly XBMC) does its own content management. It doesn't sync across devices because each client is independent, but since I only use it with the one device it's perfect for me.
I would use Plex, but it doesn't have features I consider must-have. Like the ability to retime audio sync while playing back. Or automatic display of Forced subtitles while subtitles are disabled. (Plex wants you to turn on a separate subtitle track that only has the forced subtitles in it, Kodi looks for Forced subtites in the normal subtitle track and displays them. Much more "Just Works" for me.)

@caseyliss Jellyfin + Infuse. I mention because technically Infuse doesn’t need a media server back end as it can manage libraries directly from a file share.
