The EU is deepening its relation with India, there are still territorial disputes between India and China. The West is no longer one block. Even though Starmer, Meloni and Merz are not in direct opposition to Trump, (yes the UK is not part of the EU, but a direct neighbor) they still distance themselves from the war effort. Thus, there is no western block. The US is on its own when it continues on that trajectory.

The economic consequence will probably be devastating for them. Not to mention actual physical damage from Iranian drones and misile strikes. I'm sure they will remember Trump for it.

Let's not call them "expats", lets call them what they are, immigrants, who left their home countries because they didn't want to live in them. Now discovering the Gulf States weren't such a great alternative …
Not forgetting the 10,000s of Iranians who will be fleeing their home country because it's become too dangerous. And who will face abuse and discrimination when trying to claim asylum in Europe.
Perhaps even from those who were immigrants to the Gulf …
