Just avoid installing the Alacritty from App Center(snap), it will "ruin" your Home directory. And looks like Obsidian can do the same...
Just yesterday I've met this bug on two my laptops. Also similar issues could be found on Reddit.

Didn't saw it on launchpad yet, will add this bug report tomorrow.

It can be fixed manually, of course.
