InterestingI understand in this day & age of strife & war around fossil fuels, & also climate change it is good to see these alternatives showing up & being used effectively
However, want to caution about the tech some countries are using. As a resident in the himalayas, with good knowledge of hydro power, i can say it is not really renewable (glaciers will be gone in 30 odd years), these are also socially & ecologically dirty + climate change issues too

Hydroelectricity isn't a green energy because of the permanent ecological damage and the methane released from decomposing biolgical material underwater. The vast proportion of Canada's so-called green energy is actually greenwashed hydroelectricity. We need to do much better, but Carney is running the opposite direction except for a few projects spurned on by Europe. Vancouver, St. John's and Halifax should all be wave/tidal/wind already, TO should be enhancing their lakescape with wind, Alberta and SK should be mostly wind and solar....already, but we are a petrostate with captured governments. South Australia is now 100% green energy.https://wet-tirol.at/information/hydroelectric-power-is-not-green-energy/

South Australia isn’t quite at 100% renewable energy but getting close, as per a report in 2024.
“South Australia generates more than 70% of its electricity from renewable sources.
By 2025/2026, this is projected to reach 85%, with a target of 100% net renewable energy by 2027.
The remainder is generated from non-renewable sources and from interconnection with other states through the National Electricity Market (NEM).”

This makes a huge difference in trying to make the current wars in the middle east pointless. We all know that since WWII pretty much all wars have been about oil money. Or just blatant land grabs, but mostly about oil.
America occasionally invades countries if they get a bit socialist regardless of oil, but they tend to do it covertly.
