13 Open-Source Apps I Use from a Web Browser (And You Can Too)
You don't always need to install an open source software on your desktop or self host in your homelab. I use some of my favorites from the comfort of a web browser.

@itsfoss
IF
- you can have a good browser that
- is a hundred times faster than Chromium
- leaks a thousand times less memory Firefox
- are fine with being more dependent on whoever runs the server than Windows 7 users are on Microsoft. -

@itsfoss Sadly I look at the first suggestion, onlyoffice, and it's page says:
"— now driven by AI-powered virtual assistants and smart agents"
So that's a big NOOOOOO! then! -

So that's a big NOOOOOO! then!@pa27 @itsfoss If you follow It's FOSS, i'm sure you've noticed they are very much so pro-AI to many of our dismay here.
They also promote a bunch of closed source apps too. At one point it was a good source of #OpenSource info / news, these days it's an #AI fanboy account with #FOSS and #ClosedSource suggestions.
The only thing that's remained the same is the name apparently.

@transicorn @pa27 @itsfoss hadn't really paid attention to the matter but now that you mentioned...
Pity. Liked it but now its unlikable. Thanks for pointing it out.

@UltraLutra @pa27 @itsfoss They're also RMS stans which for me has to be the worst part about those running it now.
