I think the MAGAts are not after regime change itself. It might still happen, but that is not the object. The object is empire.

So, if the sitting regime pays enough protection money, lets Israël control its rocketry and only sells oil to the Chinese after permission, paying a percentage and doing it only in dollars, then the MAGAts will happily let the regime sit where it sits. Of course with some illusory "reforms".

This is the ball you have to watch, the rest is distraction fluff

I am still amazed by these "opposition" figures like Machado or Iranian opposition who seem to think that the MAGAts are in their court. Maybe it's just opportunism from their side, but for everyone with half an eye open it should be self evident that MAGAts do NOT like democracy or any real representation of the people at all. They prefer authoritarian regimes that ruthlessly extract energy and fealty from the plebs, and that they can integrate in their empire under "Board of Peace".

In the case of Venezuela it is becoming glaringly clear that the "glorious operation to decapitate the government" was in fact an elaborate setup. The Rodriguez faction had decided that they would let USA companies in for oil and let the USA plunder the Venezuelan oil reserves. In return and to make it all look like some operation "for democracy" they offered Maduro's head on a platter.

Of course it is difficult to script Trump and he kept blabbing about the oil companies he met.

But if Khamenei keeps bad mouthing the USA, and the Iranian leadership doesn't actually understand how serious the imperialism has become, it may happen that Trump with Netanyahu whispering in his ear and falling appreciation at home, decides to just bomb and bomb and bomb until fealty improves
