Trump/Vance mansplaining Catholic doctrine to the Pope is the most social media thing ever.

@miss_rodent
I doubt that there are many roman Catholics in the upper tiers of the US government.
@mattblaze@oneiros @mattblaze Vance comes to mind.

@mattblaze
Scaramucci says it's his way of throwing Vance and Rubio under the bus. "He puts everyone in the woodchipper." Basically getting Catholics mad at them to undermine their future campaigns. The Mucc knows the backstabbing culture well -
@mattblaze But what you fail to understand, Mr Pope ...
@oclsc “Well actually…”

You kind of expect Leo to just say, "You know I'm the *pope*, right?"
@mattblaze that would be the actual best

I would
nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize -

@mattblaze it’s the only thing #donaldtrump (DJT) & #JDVance do all the time on all levels: #violence

@mattblaze
I mean, isn't the rule in Catholicism that the Pope is the ultimate authority and anything he says goes? Isn't Vance being a bad Catholic by arguing with him? -
@oneiros @mattblaze Vance comes to mind.
@miss_rodent @oneiros @mattblaze I might add these members of SCOTUS to that list: Thomas, Alito, Kavanaugh, and maybe even Roberts. I'd love to hear arguments to have Barrett also added to this list.

@mattblaze "have you read the bible, pope et. al." --vance, probably

@mattblaze @phpete But he hasn't married his daughter yet.
Nor sold her into slavery.

@mattblaze vance needs to be excommunicated.
-
You kind of expect Leo to just say, "You know I'm the *pope*, right?"
@mattblaze He should declare ex cathedra that Trump and Vance are doo doo heads.
-
Trump/Vance mansplaining Catholic doctrine to the Pope is the most social media thing ever.
To say Vance and Trump are ‘mansplaining’ would falsely infer that they’re men.
-
Nor sold her into slavery.
@stuartyeates @mattblaze @phpete That was Epstein's job.
-
@mattblaze The Catholic Church used to have more proactive means of dealing with this sort of thing.
-
@mattblaze
I mean, isn't the rule in Catholicism that the Pope is the ultimate authority and anything he says goes? Isn't Vance being a bad Catholic by arguing with him?The Pope is only "infallible" in pronouncements that they declare are infallible. However, in other (potentially fallible) instances, they are still the boss.
So it's kind of like Vance is arguing with the CEO of his religion.
-
You kind of expect Leo to just say, "You know I'm the *pope*, right?"
@mattblaze I rather enjoy that Leo does what others should: Show Felon King no deference, and don’t stroke the ego or kiss the ring.
-

@HamonWry @mattblaze to use the word mansplaining falsy implies the pope is a woman/NB...
Really boys read a book about feminism please...
Lecturing ≠ mansplaining
