Il ministro degli Esteri Antonio Tajani ha tenuto un'informativa urgente sulla situazione in Iran e Golfo Persico davanti alle Commissioni Esteri e Difesa del Senato e della Camera. "L'obiettivo dell'azione in corso è l'eliminazione del rischio nucleare e missilistico rappresentato dal regime di Teheran. Una minaccia esistenziale, come hanno dimostrato anche i fatti di questi giorni, per la sicurezza non solo di tutta la regione, ma anche dell'Europa", ha dichiarato Tajani. "Questa notte sono stati abbattuti due droni che puntavano a colpire una base britannica a Cipro. I danni sono lievi, ma il messaggio è inequivocabile: nessuno sarebbe al riparo da un Iran dotato di missili, oltre che dell'arma atomica", ha detto il ministro degli Esteri.

Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani delivered an urgent briefing on the situation in Iran and the Persian Gulf before the Foreign Affairs and Defence Committees of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. “The objective of the ongoing action is the elimination of the nuclear and missile risk posed by the regime of Tehran. An existential threat, as demonstrated by the events of these days, for the security not only of the entire region but also of Europe,” Tajani stated. “Two drones that were aimed at attacking a British base in Cyprus were shot down this night. The damage is minor, but the message is unequivocal: no one would be safe from an Iran equipped with missiles, as well as nuclear weapons,” the Foreign Minister said.
