Account of a good clubbing experience in a small venue

This weekend I went clubbing for the first time in a while, and had a great experience at a small DIY space. I thought it worth sharing my thoughts about what made the event a success, from my perspective as a punter. Venue MOT is an independent venue in an industrial estate in South Bermondsey, south London. It feels fairly remote, a good 20 minutes walk from New Cross Gate overground station, which actually makes it accessible from home as the Windrush line runs overnight on weekends.

@grahamdunning sounds like a great time, the two venues in one thing is always a good idea. some of the more well known Brooklyn DIY venues did that when I lived there, like Silent Barn, Fitness and Trans Pecos, not to mention bigger more commercial clubs.

def need to check out Josh Caffe based on your ASC/Hieroglyphic Being comparison!

@trashpandaqc yeah it's a great model tbf. Definitely going to be checking out more stuff there. On Saturday Tim Reaper was in the other space, so sure that would have been great too.

That messy/maximal/loopy track was definitely just something Josh Caffe was playing, not one of his own tracks. His own stuff is more electro/electroclash/techno like Green Velvet or similar. Still good though. (Kind of wish I'd tried shazzaming that tune but was enjoying listening/dancing too much!)
