About 30 years ago, the local conservation officer distributed seedling trees at my son’s elementary school. The tag on this one said “Douglas Fir.” However, looking at it carefully now (after all these years!), I’m wondering if it isn’t really a Norway Spruce.

Yeah, sure doesn't line up with Douglas well at all
I came up with White Spruce. Maybe give you something else to ponder
