    The bluebells are flowering already, seems to be earlier every year. Went for a walk yesterday to have a look and the small woodland near where I live was all blue :-). Always very uplifting to see this flower bonanza. #bluebells #flowers #spring

      The bluebells are flowering already, seems to be earlier every year. Went for a walk yesterday to have a look and the small woodland near where I live was all blue :-). Always very uplifting to see this flower bonanza. #bluebells #flowers #spring

            @RVLara23 I looked at some pictures of bluebonnets, they do look similar in the way they carpet the ground in blue, just in sunny spots, not in woodlands. Pretty.

              @noplasticshower They are a different species, Mertensia virginica, our bluebell is Hyacinthus non-scripta. Very pretty as well. It is interesting to know that there seem to be a number of blue-flowered spring plants called bluebell in different parts of the world.
