@98Percent It's totally crazy. I did the same kind of thing on my phone (Android) using the App tracker protection in the DuckDuckGo mobile browser. I couldn't believe what I saw: it blocked over 26000 (!) tracking attemps in 37 apps, over the last week.
What #privacy ? -
@98Percent Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.

What #privacy ?@technotrotteur @98Percent the worst thing is there are way more… simply visiting a website provides the server with dozens of semi-unique values that make up your ‘device fingerprint’. Online #privacy is a joke.

@98Percent , I had Oxygen 16, basically Android 16 arrive on my phone today - I had a good look through the settings and switched pretty much everything new off.
Most so called improvements of it are for Google and the phone manufacturer to extract every last bit of into there's to know about the user,
simply because there's money to be made from surveillance.
Time for a change before September comes. -

@404 @technotrotteur @98Percent yeah, it's wild how much data we leak just by browsing, but awareness is the first step to taking it back.
