John Kennedy was asked Monday by NBC News about the bombing of the girls’ primary school in Iran on the first day of Operation Epic Fury, which resulted in the death of roughly 175 children and which evidence suggests was inadvertently carried out by the U.S. Air Force/Navy. “It was terrible. We made a mistake,” he said. “Other countries do that sort of thing intentionally, like Russia. We would never do that intentionally. I think the Department [of Defense] is investigating it now, and I'm sorry. I’m just so sorry it happened. It was a mistake.”
