NEW | US Senator Richard Blumenthal warns US may be headed toward ground invasion of Iran

After a classified briefing on the US‑Israel war with Iran, Senator Richard Blumenthal told reporters he is “dissatisfied and angry” and warned that the United States appears to be on a path toward deploying American ground troops in Iran to achieve the conflict’s objectives.

Blumenthal also raised concerns that Russia seems to be actively providing intelligence support to Iran and that China may also be assisting Tehran, a combination he said could endanger American lives and deepen the war.
