More than 40,000 documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case were taken offline from the website of the United States Department of Justice, according to an analysis by The Wall Street Journal.
Some files reportedly included FBI interview notes with a woman who alleged that Donald Trump sexually abused her when she was a minor in the 1980s.
The Justice Department said the files were removed temporarily to review and redact sensitive information, adding that 47,635 documents are offline and will be republished after edits.
Democrats accused the department of withholding potentially embarrassing material about Trump.
