US Congressman Ro Khanna is set to introduce a House resolution condemning Israeli settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank and escalating settler attacks against Palestinians.
The draft resolution calls for an immediate halt to settlement expansion and home demolitions, a freeze on development in the E1 corridor east of occupied Jerusalem, the evacuation of unauthorislzed outposts and the prevention of their legalisation, accountability and for settler attacks.
Khanna, who has been vocal in criticizing Israel’s war on Gaza and US support for it, previously led efforts in Congress to recognize a Palestinian state.
