Amy had been making abstract graphical fish and we realised that we could create lots of different fish by moving 10 control points (two for the nose, two for the start of body, two for the end of body, two for the start of the tail and two for the end of tail) up and down and applying random patterns/colours.

We made this tool during a very quiet day at work where there was nothing to do. Although it had no direct use by itself, it was a good learning exercise because we learned how to create SVG from scratch. The skills I got that day have been very useful ever since.
I've just gone back to it and tidied up/simplified the code a little bringing the page size down to under 25kB (11.25kB transferred)!

Amy did use this to generate SVG fish that she then used to populate a virtual aquarium (no longer online) that was an experiment for her in making a webpage and writing a little JS.

The "change rounding" button was me learning how to set control points on SVG curves. So you can tweak an individual fish.
