2026: haha I just have my stochastic labubu generate tons of code all the time, I don't even look at it. More is more. I regularly have nervous breakdowns about what it all means on all social media platforms
2016: the code is self-documenting
2026: *spends hours perfecting detailed tutorials inside a hidden folder*

I skip the code generating and go straight to the breakdowns tbh -

@alxndr@tech.lgbt @mrtazz@chaos.social don't forget the fact that those tutorials are often much better than actual documentation for contributors…

@mrtazz
See C A R Hoare on producing correct software:
Either cleverly simple or massively large and complex.Simple is easier to check but much harder to design.
A curse on managers that want to go straight from a Marketing Dept request to people actually coding.
You can't even estimate project duration, complexity and risk without capturing the real requirements in formal logical language and then doing a design (with no coding!) -

@mrtazz 2026 - "Stochastic labubu has a blog and spits out 17 articles a day, I might activate an agentic labubu to double check the contents and mail me a report daily."

@tragivictoria @lritter @mrtazz I've seen both, "software engineers" begging the chatbots to "PLEASE BE VERY THOROUGH", and very useful instructions for building and testing a project, which I'm sure some human contributors would have loved to have. Shame on those sloperators either way.
