I was out trying to take pictures of bees today, but found this gorgeous fellow instead! I think this is a Flame Skimmer Dragonfly.

I was so stunned by its rich orange coloring - it was sooooooo beautiful.

As if it noticed my attention, it flew to the top of a nearby car's antenna and stayed there while I snapped my pics! How wonderful! #insects #dragonfly
