My favourite niche factoid (today, at least) about Sibelius (music software, not composer) is that you can create a notehead style that is both headless and stemless. Which leaves… nothing*.
And I make use of this a lot for some composers, mostly where aleatoric things are happening, to fill bars where something unnotated is happening, which avoids multirests appearing in the part.
* okay, not nothing in all cases: if you put an accidental on it, that will show, as well as any articulations.

@Gaolaitch I played with Sibelius a bit over 30 years ago, when it was just starting out, and it was only available for the Acorn Archimedes. The developers lived in Cambridge, and I went to visit them one day to see what this thing was like.
It was astonishingly good for the time -- the layout was pretty horrible, but it coped with a wide range of complications, and was blazingly fast at rendering.

Is there a visible/ hidden toggle which applies to the note and its properties? Or indeed to hide the rest.
