Ukrainian documentary 2000 Meters to Andriivka won two major US awards: Best Documentary Screenplay (Writers Guild of America) and Best Documentary Cinematography (American Society of Cinematographers).
Directed by Mstyslav Chernov, it follows a Ukrainian platoon liberating Andriivka from russian forces, highlighting the war’s human cost.
The film was also named second-best of 2025 by The Guardian and represented #Ukraine for the 2026 Oscars.
