I’m utterly convinced Steve Bannon has decided to send his minions to stir up far right shit in Ireland to intimidate the Gov.

    I think there’s a few reasons including:

    1) Ireland being the EU HQ for lots of tech companies. Musk and Zuckerberg don’t like our laws.

    2) Ireland is seen as one of the last bastions of white Christianity in Europe.

    3) US military in Shannon.

    4) We see through Israel.

    5) Our support of Palestine.

    5) Our society is becoming more progressive.

Bannon is still v much the puppet master within the global fascist & far right movements.

He was behind MAGA, Trump, Brexit, Farage and other EU far right politicians. For years he has rubbed shoulders with white supremacists, neo-Nazis, fascists & Christian nationalists.

He’s behind so much propaganda. And he knows how the media & social media works.

He met with McGregor before the Presidential election and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s grooming him for the next election.

@Anitambyrne don’t forget that in the UK we have the same issue with far-right protests/ violence being stirred up on social media, sometimes with minor triggers.
I don’t doubt your reasoning, just trying to give some context

Those #FuelProtests may have started with local racists and/or genuinely disgruntled farmers/hauliers BUT look at what large global accounts shared those protests and are still sharing them.

Look who the “leaders” of the protests are now meeting.

It’s all right out of the fascist handbook….

I’m pretty sure I’m right on this.

Steve Bannon has been c clear about his intentions in Europe and it WAS working but thankfully in some countries we’re voting centre or left again.

          Bit still….

@Anitambyrne The platforming of Eoin Lenihan by GB News and countless other right wing sites looks either coordinated or a massive case of confirmation bias by people taking in each others' laundry, or perhaps a combination. He barely crossed my radar ("car crash" podcast interview on Irish Times Politics podcast was drawn to my attention). I remain optimistic that most have no interest in his ethnonativist tripe.
