2000s: climate change, ecological destruction bad but can be tackled/ a while off/studying this is my contribution

2017-2021: it’s a #ClimateEmergency! We need to act NOW! #Activism

2022-25: it’s a #Polycrisis What will get us first - Climate breakdown? inequality? Fascism? AI dystopia? (Nuclear) war?

2026: Oh, it’s all at once, right now, this is it #CollapseDiary

@pvonhellermannn Minimally faster only... 2023 was the inner tipping poing for me, specifically the ocean surface temperatures being in the 5 sigma region.

Similar. My dates start in 90s but still with a sense that we could respond and that surely with something so existential, we would. Slow disillusion on that last bit. Now we know how big oil was paddling hard beneath the surface to keep us from being able to act, mobilise, conscientious ...
