        Our local independent bookshop has a monthly ‘mystery book’ subscription. The staff have hand-crafted teeny tiny editions of each title they’ve included so far. Each book cover is a faithful rendition of the real one. Amazon could never. AI could never.

          @Sarah111well Me too. The creative effort! It's one of those bookshops where every member of staff is a *reader* and it shows in all the little touches.

                    @sdarlington Agreed! I was already delighted by them before I even noticed that it isn't 'just' the author name on the spine, but actual recreations of the actual covers.
