Thanks, Brian! And, I caught a glimpse of some of your snowshoeing posts (trip #2) while I was away. Nice! Can't decide which I like more--- winter mountaineering or scuba diving in warm clear water. I think it's a tie for my most favorite. Such opposites, but both special in so many ways. -

Thanks, Annie! I learned the different skills one at a time (sailing, diving, backpacking,....). It got easier to learn the new ones because of the heavy overlap in important things like navigation, trip planning, and safety mindset.
