@CiaraNi that is such a good idea. I hope it catches on elsewhere around the country.

@CiaraNi honestly, the thought that there are other people dotted around my city reading the same book as me for six weeks is so cozy!

This struck me as a lovely idea. A citywide book club for people who read on the bus. The Dublin Bus book club selects a book by an Irish author every six weeks.

Also a lovely idea: instead of partnering with a company like Amazon, they’ve partnered with a beloved local independent book store, Chapters, for discounted books and events for the book club members.

@CiaraNi Yes great book idea. If you're willing to share I'd love to know what you take your pictures with. BTW, you have a great eye for things.

@coffeemug That is kind of you to say. Thank you. I don't have an actual camera. I use my mobile phone camera, a Samsung Galaxy model about 2 or 3 years old.

@CiaraNi Ah I expected as much and that explains it thanks. Samsung... someday, sigh. 🥴

@CiaraNi my tendency to almost instantly puke if I try to read while in motion makes me feel like I am being excluded for having a disability. But if this wasn't posted here I wouldn't have even known, because I couldn't read the sign🫠

@CiaraNi As a Canadian, the phrase "beloved local independent book store, Chapters" made me do a double-take.

@jfcaron I looked it up and can see that the Canadian Chapters is the opposite, right enough
