@serapath @catsalad Computer hardware hobbyism is set to flourish once again. Buy a few Raspberry Pi's in case the hardware is tampered with. Governments are able to criminalize the possession of hardware because they believe it can be used against them. This era has completely gone off the rails. We need to take a good look at ourselves and consider who we give power to in elections.

      elections wont cut it.
we need to make open hardware and sell and biy open hardware or donate it where ppl cant afford.

we need to grow open source supply chains.

...but we also need to opt out of THEIR MONEY, because they print it to payroll us, to buy up the means of production, to buy thr liinshare of the fruits of our labour and to fund measures against us if we try to opt out.

we need to adopt open source alternative money they cant print and use that for commons

...i see no other really resilient and decentralized open source alternative money to build commons and open hardware suppply chain on top of than bitcoin.

using anything else just means the establishment will use their printer to defraud us and subvert all efforts to keep us trapped.

voting wont help, because partirs, lobbiests, epstein blackmail mafias, etc.. will make sure you wont get options to vote on that change anything.

@serapath @catsalad No bitcoin, anyone can manipulate this by buying/selling large quantities. So you remain dependent on the people with the big money.

haha, i love it as well, but imho was that a militarized society? after all, captain picard or kirk or janeway, they all had a strict military rank and order .. nothing here was democratic.

how does this society work at scale - what are the mechanisms? ...its presented utopian because everyone in star trek who has any powerful position has noble motives, but... yeah, i wouldnt count on that in the real world. you have epsteins and trumps and worse too

nobody can manipulate bitcoin. its 21 milliom and no more. nobody can print it.
they can bet against it, but thats as stupid as gamestop, but just worse, because its limited and there are no central authorities to capture.

                      how would you "manilulate" it?

@catsalad The Fediverse is about to become a criminal organization ๐Ÿ˜… ... Would be funny, if it wouldn't be so serious.

@catsalad wow so pretty soon the one actually above board, legal use case of torrents (downloading open source Linux distros) is going to become illegal (downloading open source Linux distros with the ID verification removed).

                                        yes. true.
                                        but does it matter?

you could draw a graph with bitcoin being stable and fiat losing value like mad ... and claim fiat wasnt stable.

                                        which unstable do you prefer?

@catsalad What if a kid lies? All kids lie, especially teenagers. This is absurd.
