    In an announcement on Wednesday, Minister of Mines and Mining Development Polite Kambamura said the move includes all minerals “currently in transit”.

          @earthworm @JonathanMBR I'm really hoping this leads to a more stabilised and accessible power grid.

          people often forget that a good chunk of our country still doesnt have access to reliable electricity 😗

          and yoh! lithium mining was causing serious problems for the locals hey

            Minerals like lithium are critical components in renewable energy, and for countries they can be a major source of revenue. However, mining often contributes to adverse environmental and human rights impacts. In Zimbabwe, Danish Institute for Human Rights is partnering with the Zimbabwe Environmental Law Association, to document the gendered effects of lithium mining.
