@eyeling@mastodon.art Helios 44-2 lens is amazing. I got one few years ago in an auction and I think it's my very favourite lens currently.

@jsalvador Oh yeah, it's a real trooper. Such a fast lens and light weight. Working with it feels very intuitive. Only problem I have (which is a me problem): Not my preferred focal length. It takes a while to find subjects/compositions if one isn't into portraits.

@eyeling@mastodon.art I use it mostly for portraits because of that, for landscapes or traveling in general I prefer 35 or 24mm. But still one of my favourite lenses, because the amazing bokeh!

@Enlightenedharlot Thank you. That Soviet lens is a bokeh wonder.

@Enlightenedharlot Yes, I believe it's called that (which somehow sound lewd despite being very descriptive 🙈).
I tried freelensing with this one before the adapter arrived and it's fun! Thanks for your suggestion, will give it a try again soon. My other lenses are too heavy, I fear trying it with any of them will only lead to a lot of expensive glass being broken.

Cherry blossoms, part 5/5: Deep Sky. Looks oddly like shot in studio light despite being outside in the late afternoon. Falling snow in the first shot adds to the overall surreal mood.

Addendum: Same retro lens as above, but apple blossoms.
