Reminds me of that scene in Terry Pratchett's Hogfather where the privileged people are being served mud and old boots as if it's gourmet food, and they don't notice. Except those people are just talking about the steaks being a little tough. These folks are like "Boots! Delicious! Florsheim is my favorite." -
The White House Correspondents Association dinner had always been gross but why any self-respecting journalist in the year of our Lord 2026 would voluntarily attend is beyond me.
I believe it is our duty to reject the journalists who attend. Unfollow them on social media, do not subscribe to their newsletters, do not read their work, do not subscribe to their publications, do not watch them anywhere.
The media has been enabling that monster since before that fateful escalator ride in 2015.
The public needs to reject all his enablers.
