This is incredible news. I remember visiting the condors during school trips to the LA zoo as a kid, and then at the Santa Barbara Zoo when I was in college. I learned, and was inspired, by ecology and conservation growing up, but became mostly jaded and cynical as adult. But the recovery and release of the condors over the past decades has been really inspiring and kept the fire going when I was doing environmental education at the Aquarium. All that stuff DID matter.
