I'm not an expert on the Fediverse, but there are a few things I've learned that might help people who want to get more engagement.

    1) Complete a profile. Tell tell us a little bit about you: How did you get that scar? What are you hiding in your basement?

    2) Boost other people. Why are people going to boost you if you're not boosting anyone? (No, not that person. We hate them.)

    3) Write the funniest posts ever known to humankind. Just be funny and interesting to the entire range of personality types across the human spectrum.

    4) Follow and engage with like-minded people. Ask :What kind of murderbots do they prefer? Where do they buy their undetectable poisons?

    5) Be George Takei. Change the timeline so that you are in fact George Takei. You’ll get tons of followers just based on who you are, and will most likely get boosted regularly.

    6) Comment on people’s posts. People especially love it if you correct them or share a bit of minutia unrelated to their post.

    7) Create thousands of accounts. Have them all star and boost your posts. You’ll look popular and people will follow you because of it.
