    @BobHorowitz Don't you just love when you find those motifs and also the right timing 😍

    I hope you took a long rest when you got back home, and some treats. It must have been pretty scary out there πŸ˜†

    @ambivalena
    It was disorienting. I even sat down on the sidewalk and took a picture of a tree hanging over my head.

    Me. A tree. Can you imagine?

      @Simplicator These things could pull an ATM out of the wall of a building without even breaking a sweat. Just sayin'.

        @BobHorowitz Omg, how are you? Nighmares? Hard to breath, heart palpitations? Perhaps you should see a doctor, just in case? πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

                @SF_Photographer
                I wanted to but the fences were closed off and the tarps blocked the view of the pit yesterday afternoon.

                There's a good, I don't know, maybe three-story deep hole in the ground right now.

                    @SF_Photographer Not surprised. They are suspicious and nervous about reasons. But legally you can shoot anything you want if you're on the public sidewalk as long as you are not interfering with their work or access to the site.

                      @BobHorowitz Excellent πŸ‘
                      This could be an illustration of a dystopia from the 1960s. Back then, people believed that machines would enslave humanity. As it turned out, steel monsters are not necessary for this. It is enough to simply get inside the brain.

                        @andre
                        That is dark, Andre. And I don't disagree.

                        It brings to mind Rossum's Universal Robots, Čapek's 1920 play that introduced the word "robot" ("forced labor" in Czech). In the play, a factory mass-produces artificial workers to serve humanity... but the robots eventually revolt and wipe out the human race.

                        We, however, are doing quite a good job of destroying ourselves with our madness. And unfortunately there will be no deus ex machina. Our problems won't be suddenly resolved by actors playing gods lowered onto the stage by cranes In the final moments of our play. We have to do the hard work ourselves.

                        But I digress. I like your dystopian reference quite a lot.

                        Hang in there. I believe there will be light.
