    You know that “stop forcing AI into fucking everything” graphic that went around on here?

    I bought the t-shirt. I get a lot of compliments on it.

    The only negative response was from a friend who works for McKinsey. She read out the “everyone hates it” and said, “do they really, though?” as we stood near the check-in table for an event, and three people in line turned around and said, “YES!”

                @maco Nice!
                I don't like to ask other people where or in what job they work. Because I hate it when other people ask me. Here in Germany it seems very important to know what and where other people work. I don't understand why.
                I enjoy talking about all non-work-related topics!

                So, now I have to find a shop that delivers this great T-Shirt or hoodie to Germany...

                @rebootdeluxe @maco @itsmeholland

                Around DC, the DC Question when people meet you is always "what do you do?"

                I ask them, "do you want to know my interests, like my wabbits or music or watches, or do you want to know what I do for money?"

                They almost always mean it as "are you important, or can I safely ignore you?"

                This is DC, after all.

                    @maco @GeoffWozniak I think *constantly* about their claim that generative "AI" will add no less than $2,600,000,000,000 to the global economy

                    sure jan.

                        @the_turtle @rebootdeluxe @itsmeholland I’m in the DC area too, but I mostly meet people through hobbies, so we talk about the hobby.

                        If it’s the SCA, tell me about your persona and your crafts. Infodumps about weaving or glassmaking would be normal.

                        If it’s tango, how long have you been dancing, did you learn here or in another city, who are your favorite teachers, do you dance both roles or just one, been to any good festivals lately, do you do any other dances?

                          @the_turtle @rebootdeluxe @itsmeholland once we get off the hobby it’s probably what other hobbies do you have, restaurant recommendations, families…

                          But upcoming events are always a discussion topic that brings it back to the hobby. “Did you hear Germán Filipeli and Rocío Leguizamón are visiting next month? Are you signing up for their class?” “Are you headed to Kingdom Arts & Sciences Festival? I’m entering the pentathlon this year.”

                            @itsmeholland you can be friends with someone for quite a while without discussing work. It didn’t come up until about 6 months ago that that’s where she works.

                                  @0x4d6165 @maco like ICE is not even the peak of the evil McKinsey has been at the center of, spanning at least 30 years. It's unspeakable how there are still people who will work for these companies as if this doesn't make them accomplices. Same with those clowns who feel sad after finding out their employer PALANTIR is working with ICE. Like you didn't put together that you're one the bad guys until just now, or you still haven't? What
