🚨⏳ Act now! Microsoft just enabled flex routing for Copilot users in the EU - and you're opted in automatically!

This means your data can be processed outside of the EU.

Turn if off now: Copilot → Settings → Flex routing → Do not allow flex routing

Even better, yet, cancel Copilot. Here's why: https://tuta.com/blog/microsoft-copilot-reads-confidential-business-mail

@Tutanota Even better than canceling copilot: Geting rid of microsoft on all private hardware!

Your fitting Linux distribution is right around the corner.

Exactly what difference does this make? Since we're talking about US based companies, the US govt. can access your data regardless.

@Tutanota thanks for the warning, but I'm on Linux, Iodé and, for the moment and with reservations, on Mistral. Keep up the good work on keeping us safe.

@Tutanota When you say «your data», what do you mean exactly?

Because I'm forced to use Windows at work, and most configuration options are managed by our computer team.

So your company is leaking all their data to microslop and your "computer team" knows it. The problem is that someone (probably the IT head) is getting commissions from microslop for getting your company pay them a lot of money in licenses and services. Most companies in the world are basically shooting themselves in the foot just because the person who takes the decision of which software they use is paid by microslop to use their software.

@Tutanota I guess I don't have to worry about that with my Windows 7, which I'm (still) using. 😉 I'm currently trying to get up to speed with Linux and will be switching over soon. Thankfully, I've already replaced everything else.

This means your data can be processed outside of the EU.

Turn if off now: Copilot → Settings → Flex routing → Do not allow flex routing

Even better, yet, cancel Copilot. Here's why: https://tuta.com/blog/microsoft-copilot-reads-confidential-business-mail

@Tutanota Disabling flex routing makes no difference: the CLOUD act applies, so they have your data anyway.

🚨⏳ Act now! Microsoft just enabled flex routing for Copilot users in the EU - and you're opted in automatically!

@Tutanota I'm playing the devil's advocate here, but Microsoft say the data would be encrypted at rest and during transit?
