        And what happens if you a) don't have a phone and/or b) don't have a social media presence?

          @briankrebs It's crazy. I dumped Twitter/X some time ago for being too toxic & don't remember when exactly. I kept an account active just so someone couldn't take my user name and impersonate me, but at this point, they might not even let me log in. I don't remember my Twitter user name..
          Also, what about subaddresses: e.g, NAME+TAG@example.com. I'll use those to simplify sorting and so I can tell if some web site has been compromised or is selling my address. Can't remember all the tags.

            @DelilahTech 1) you have, are lying and are detained for further investigation and charges (lying to a federal agent, obstruction of a federal investigation, etc.), sent to a concentration camp awaiting removal;
            2) you really don't have them, and your entry in the USA is refused and you are sent to a concentration camp awaiting removal.

            Either way, your belongings are confiscated, your prints are taken, your DNA is "sourced" (ask me how I, and European lawyer, know about it) and they do whatever else they think is within their rights to do to an "alien" (non-US citizen).

            Just don't go to the US and don't allow your family and friends to go either. The FIFA WC and the Olympic Games aren't that big of a deal.

                  @briankrebs

                  Time to short US travel industry stocks...

                  No one will come to the US for pleasure trips anymore.

                  Buh-bye, Disney revenue from EU Easter holiday travelers.

                  See ya, US hotel chain revenue in major tourist cities.

                  Airlines? Flights to Europe are not full these days, because no one is coming FROM Europe. But sure Donny, let's pour halon on that fire....

                  If you don't understand how anything works, you'll screw things up when you try to change things.

                  #tourism #travel

                                @briankrebs good, should reduce emissions from long distance flights to the USA by a good percentage long term.
