      @SnowyCA

      So they are directly boiling the ocean.

      And what’s the point of all this? Why are we doing AI like that?

        @SnowyCA Cool, let's further heat the ocean for semantic slot-machines. And no, I'm not fun at parties.

                          I don't know what happened to make people forget to stop and think and assess if we are following the directions of our scientists, but I have some thoughts on the matter πŸ‘‡

                          1: It is human nature to find the easiest, least energy taxing, method of reaching a goal, whether it's using elastic permanent shoelaces ; preparing a meal using over-processed, premade and microwaved meals; or as in the case of finding information using AI "searches".

                          (note: chatbots as "friends/lovers"-- do not demand we expend energy, by putting effort in the "relationship" as do humans in a real life give and take emotional partnership.)

                          2. Commercialism has reinforced and expanded our inherent sense of selfishness, making us thoughtlessly and impulsively greedy.
                          We are subjected to 24/7 advertising in every living space and activity -even clothing brands are stamped on the outer layer of clothing.
                          Corporations are aware of our inherent selfishness and have set us up, enslaved our minds, by training us into feeling an emotional rush every time we make a purchase .

                          πŸ‘‡ 1/?

                            3. Returning to the use of AI and the average person, not scientists,...
                            Politicians and CEOs are promoting the use of AI to make us less inclined to think--studies prove our intelligence levels are reduced the more we rely on AI.

                            Conclusion: Now, add up numbers 1-3, and think about the fact that because humanity is engaged in a fight over the last few dollars not hoarded by billionaires , we have less time to pause and think about the aforementioned points 1-3 , and to organize and push back against this head-long mad dash to destroy the living spaces for humans.

                            or maybe I
                            am over-thinking this...and have lost my mind πŸ˜‚
