So, this is difficult. I’m not going to hide this behind a content warning, but I warn you now to click away if you are triggered by sexual assault. I’m not hiding it because I’m tired of hiding it. I’m tired of pretending we’re the ones with something to hide.

This CNN story has broken me. Thousands of men congregated to share tips and drugs so they could roofie their wives and partners to film them being raped. A rape academy. Millions watched the videos.

We’re told to fear men in public. Carry your keys in your hand, cover your drink in public, never let your guard down if outside your house.

The rapist was in the house the whole time.

When I was in 3rd grade a friend’s father drugged and took pics raping me. Those pics are still circulating. He wasn’t punished. I was beaten for being a whore. I haven’t had a single day since I was 7, where I didn’t worry that someone had seen them.

I’m not ok today, and I’m not alone. Be kind to each other.

@MissConstrue I think I heard another story from Germany a year ago about exactly the same thing. 🤢 🤮🤮🤮 Those people are disgusting as hell, and I hope that every single one of them gets charged for their crimes & jailed.

@MissConstrue just one of many reasons why I deal with self-hatred for being a man and disgust at the very high potential to be mistaken for an abuser just because I have a Y chromosome. Men are fucking awful, and I'd rather live in solitude than potentially make one more person afraid of me just by existing.

@MissConstrue I am so very sorry that you were object and victim such horrific acts. Mrs DB told me about this ā€œrape academyā€ and I’m flabbergasted and outraged at the behavior of these ā€œmenā€ I hope that you are able to find some peace, in spite of the nightmare that has been inflicted upon you.

@MissConstrue no like for obvious reasons but have a boost, and a... maybe pointless apology from a male.
