Russia at the time was a geriatric mess too with Brezhnev rambling, Chernenko then Andropov, dropping off, the only sign of hope in the past 50 years out of Russia was Gorbachev who the elderly Putin despised and disrespected by not attending his funeral

Just remember images of a very cold grey day, an open casket, canons firing and this very distinctive looking man kissing the old dead guy in the coffin.
And so my interest in politics began…

But at that point the USSR realised old frail men were not who should be leading their country.
And I had thought the USA learned the same lesson a few short years later with the departure of Reagan.
So how did we get back to here, with a confused and sick 79 year old Trump at the helm?

Given the weight of the coffin, it was metal plated, that does seem weird that they didn’t have more pallbearers. Maybe there were no takers for the job?

@JugglingWithEggs @vfrmedia @copter_chief I just watched one of his slurred speeches and only now noticed his strong Ukranian accent, not what he said but the hard G sound in Russian is made into a kind of breathless Hah by Ukranians, MaGazine and MaHAzine. Funny what you find

I'm not a healthcare professional, but I spent 15 years working on the tech/maintenance team of a senior care home.
I know how old men (often with dementia) act and behave, and particularly in recent months Trump is behaving more like the patients at my former employers (who of course are *not* trusted with starting wars and atom bombs)

There's a big difference between a healthy 80 year old and what we see in trump.
The facial droop, the swollen ankles, the bruised hands, sleeping during meetings? They are not telling us the truth about his physical health problems either, and we have the right to know. -

It's often more shocking to see trump's words in print than to hear him speak. Although he talks nonsense, he does it with a somewhat theatrical effect, raising his voice, then nearly whispering at times, waving his arms, using hand gestures.
Take that away, and all you have is an incoherent jumble of rubbish. -
