    OK today is supposed to be an upgrade of my wife's server, install of yggdrasil and check remote connectivity so I can continue to improve its config from home...

    i did a #guix pull and am doing a reconfigure and it is currently building guix-1.5.0 and that is taking a while. is this normal?

      @dlakelan for what it's worth I experienced the same thing using Guix on a foreign distro a few days ago, it took a long time to build

          @dlakelan @draqlo Could it be the fact that the substitute servers still didn't catch up on the rebuild of almost all packages of guix due to the patch on libc that happened a few days ago?

            @woshilapin @dlakelan that sounds reasonable to me, but I'm really not sure. I didn't think it would take so many days, though. That was maybe three days ago that I updated, so I'm surprised there still aren't substitutes available
