200m is two Godzillas high, which would be great for mayhem. If I could make a plan in advance for public goods to pursue for the week, I'd probably pick that (I'm on the west coast, so storming DC on a whim probably isn't realistic).But if it's a surprise like in this hypothetical, small sounds more fun. 2cm isn't horrifyingly small yet, but it is small enough to change some physical constraints (eg safe fall height).
Plus, less likely to end in prison afterwards.

@futurebird If you were 100 times bigger, you would be surrounded by soldiers with tanks and attacked from the air by gunships and fighter planes. If you were 100 times smaller you would be eaten by a spider, a mantis, or a crow. Neither outcome seems ideal. I couldn't choose.

@corpsmoderne @futurebird I voted to go large. Our local mountain is said to be the seat where a legendary giant sat to watch the stars. The weather's reasonably warm now, so that's what I do. Watch the stars at night and survey the countryside from my vantage point during the day.
There's a mountain lake and streams for water. Food might be a problem, but I'm sure friends could bring me enough meat, potatoes and veg to prevent me starving. It's only a week, after all.

However...Imagine just stomping on these losers. Like just being up there, absolutely stunting on all these little ants and not even noticing they're in awe of you. I would absolutely terrorise these miniature peasants for 7 solid days before I shrunk back down and pretended I didn't know what I was doing. Real talk fuck all these people, you all know I deserve it.

I want to say "big" and do a kaiju attack on the forces of evil but I think bullets would kill a giant me pretty quickly if I didn't have godzilla's regeneration and damage reduction powers. I guess I could maybe dig a big hole somewhere instead, that might be fun.
I could say "small" and just try to hang out eating giant fruits, but then I'd probably spend my day battling giant bugs like the protagonist of a 50s adventure magazine.

@futurebird 100 times larger would have me terrified of doing some Clifford the Big Red Dog shit, except it's a realistic world, so people I accidentally step on would be capable of dying. I'd also be worried about running into the same fate as every other film with creatures taller than most buildings. (I know you said we won't die but I can't imagine a military wouldn't be on my ass if I started stepping on people's homes, whether I wanted to or not.)
Meanwhile, 100 times smaller means I can effectively disappear from society for a week and my bed becomes the size of a city block from my perspective. I usually have snacks in the room, so I can just subsist on junk food for the week. Water might be difficult unless I was able to prepare ahead of time, but the most unpleasant thing that could happen to me still sounds no worse than if the inverse happened.

Water might mean popping a hydrant, unless you live near some nice clean lakes.

@futurebird I mean smaller is the only one that makes sense really. Couldn't afford the food bill to go big. Also, while I think I could trust my spouse to leave me in a habitrail for a week, I don't think the US military could go a full 10 minutes without murdering a giant trans person.

Either of these options will kill me.
Too big: there's nowhere in my city where I could bed down. Square-cube law says I'd break if I tried to stand, too. (Also, my required medication dosage would increase extremely alarmingly.)
Too small: my cat would eat me.
