Granddad's gone missing. He took the car this morning, his bird, locked up the house and left. He's never done this before. Just got done filing a missing persons report. He was spotted on a road cam about 300/350 k's away in Melbourne. Still searching for him

He's been found
He's turned up at home and Mum and Dad are with him

It seems all of this has stemmed from my uncle winding him up about his house in town and a dementia induced hallucination/dream
My grandfather reacted to this by driving (very illegally) 350k's and tried to sell the house I live in because "no one's using it" according to my uncle and "it's falling apart"
The result is granddad is exhausted, confused, scared and there's been a manhunt across half the fucking state for him
Now for a "fun" little tidbit. The house is the only asset that isn't being divided between my mum and uncle in the will. However, if it was sold, my uncle would get half the money from the sale... And suddenly everything that's happened today makes total, perfect sense
Yeah... I'm just gonna leave that there...

Seen granddad with my own two eyes and he's ok. Badly shaken but he's safe and ok. I can breathe again 🤯 Back on the road now to try and find his car and hopefully I'll be home sometime before midnight. Thanks for all your kind words, y'all are amazing and I just love all y'all so much
