    I went and ran at a park yesterday. And the park has a pull up station right next to the playground.

    I was there with my 4yo and as we were leaving I decided to see how hard a pull-up is. And well hard but not questionable if it was going to happen, it turns out.

    But then my 4yo decides that my wife didn't see me and makes me do a second one. And I got that one too, but at the top it got close to not happening.

    I used to pretty quickly bust out a dozen or so, depending on the day I guess, so whatever. I'm not thrilled about strength loss during transition, size loss is appreciated though.

    The (I guess it's not really) odd part about the pullups. Before, when I'd do a dozen or more. I'd pop up quickly and sorta just roast my chin over the bar. Now I don't have that level of pure force and my whole ascent is slow and controlled. These pullups are way harder.

    Anyway I've been lamenting noticable drops in strength some of it functional) and fuck me if I want to go lift (for the absolute first time in my life) to try to get it back.

        @jepyang

        Everyone's like hehe it's so affirming I can't open a jar.

        Me raging internally trying to to smash the jar to bits (and I don't do that at all) because my hand hurts and I had to get a kitchen towel.

          @jojo for me it’s annoying bc i never considered myself strong, if anything i was on the weak side, but now im very much getting a lesson on how much i was taking strength for granted.

          i do think it’s kinda cute how scrawny my arms have gotten lol
