I keep playing VAMPYR and still play the game despite I have finished it so many times. VAMPYR has a quirk in Linux, that it will keep displaying panel even though I am in full screen mode.
I see this as a good thing though, because being able to be full screen and seeing the time and notification status at the same time.

@serigala_tropis dang I totally forgot about this game. It was in my radar way back but at the time my PC couldn't run it. Steam Deck verified tho so I'll add it to my wishlist and wait for a sale
it'll be interesting to see if I run into the same quirk -

it'll be interesting to see if I run into the same quirk@captainvellalives that quirk only happens in gnome and other gnome-based DE, so I bet it doesn't happen in Steam Deck since the Deck is using KDE Plasma DE.

I started it. But never finished it. I never understood the level progression

@Fabirucho the game is a bit confusing, that I can agree.. It sometimes pretends to be a RPG but it's not RPG at all. it's more like action adventure set in a small open world with backtracking between chapters.

At some point I was to weak. For the enemies so I gave up.

@Fabirucho if you want to level up fast, you can try killing civilians but doing so would risk destabilizing an area. By doing that you get big amounts of XP which you can use to upgrade skills. However, you have to be careful if you're going that route.
-
Yes. I read this too. I got a bit scared. So I didn't go down this road. But I felt underleveled. And after some time outclassed. Maybe I need to do a replay/restart

@Fabirucho my advise? yeah try to kill some civilians. but be careful, if you kill someone, their relatives may try to avenge you and you get a mini boss fight.

@Fabirucho here is a cheat: you read up the wiki page, so you get to know the consequence of killing a civilian. You get to know how to safely kill someone without turning someone else into a mini boss fight.

️ I dont know. Or I just get better. I felt like I was playing on hard mode

@Fabirucho there are people who play this game in hard mode and never kill any civilian. It's hardcore.

@serigala_tropis@lgbtqia.space but anyhow. I will play ff tactics first and a bit of monster hunter. That caught my attention for now.

-
@serigala_tropis@lgbtqia.space I will see. Maybe i can do this too

@serigala_tropis how’s the combat? I don’t play a lot of action rpgs, but when I do, clunky combat is usually a dealbreaker.
