Oh that is so lame. Did they not have girls hockey where you grew up? Or was it just an excuse? It can be really expensive

@An0n it was a junior team that was all genders but it was also when i was in arizona. so being a girl and living in the desert were the excuses.

they let me fence though which is also very expensive so figure that one out.

Smoking is so awesome I loved smoking. Do you still smoke?
That's a crazy 180° though. Very cool you learned to fence.

Oh I understand. I will never judge anyone who smokes.
It's so difficult and the cravings never go away. I haven't smoked regularly in years and even still in think about it at least once per day.
And like you, I got to a point where I hated smoking, I hated smelling like cigarettes, and I hated *needing* a cigarette...the whole bit.
But as cliché as it sounds, it really is never too late.
And don't be too hard on yourself if it doesn't take, I must have tried quitting 20 times before it stuck.
The nicotine gum helps a lot for me. Now I have to find a way to quit that 😅

@An0n i dont get down on myself about it. i think i am the only person i know that isnt in perpetual "im in the process of quitting" mode. i was thinking of quitting last year but a bunch of really stressful stuff happened obvs so it got put off for a while.

Yeah that makes sense. It feels really good to just sit down for a bit and smoke when things get hard.
It's good you arent hard on yourself about it.

@An0n honestly the only time i have problems with smoking is when im at the airport. you get trapped inside the airport and cant leave and go outside and then i stary to panic. i think i might have a bit of agoraphobia

Yeah, an airport would be bad, especially if you have a long flight.
I remember one time I went to a Kamelot concert with my brother and I never smoked around him.
We spent the day in Toronto, went to the show, spent the night at his place, then I went home the next day.
I thought I could tough it out and not smoke the whole time but overnight I couldn't sleep, I was sweating like crazy...I needed a smoke bad.
Unfortunately he was in a locked residence for school and I'd have had no way to get back in so I smoked in the washroom right next to the exhaust fan. Nobody ever said anything so I'm not sure if he or his roommate knew
