      Just absolutely dreaming about affordable toast, as gluten is my nemesis. Tried to think about what kind of things people like to eat when they just want something nice but not very very spicy? And what DO people even eat? I've been vegan and into very specific kinds of foods that I've had to make myself for so long that this mystifies me a little bit sometimes.

      Multiple choice so the potatoes don't automatically win, I'd go for the hot rice, plain toast and dumplings I guess!

        @sinituulia I don’t typically want to make the effort to cook them, but mushrooms are perfect for that sort of day.

          @sinituulia A baked potato with butter and chives or leek does sound very appealing right now...

            @Gulleko Just the potato in this case, though! It's plain, nothing else on it! Though even with just salt, quite nice...

            I am sans potat currently, myself. 😐 Didn't remember to get more, a tragedy

                  @sinituulia bonus points if it's a broth made from these cubes that have all the ingredients packed in already, 10000 points if it doesn't have 50% salt. Just pure delight, easy, no-bullshit, quick. I call it depression meal 🫠

                    @sinituulia We also forgot to get more, so the closest we have is frozen french fries. But at least they're easy to make.

                      @sinituulia
                      I have gone for all of it.

                      Is toasted toast like refried beans?
