    #UnpopularOpinion: Android never was open, no matter how many people wanted it to be. I mourn the years of hours wasted on trying to base stuff on Android instead of building truly open alternatives.

      @jwildeboer At least it was never build as a-take-away OS in terms of switching to a real open one. The pain in moving your assets to somewhere else without Google ruling every aspect is a pain. Android was and is in the middle of nowhere to go without Google.
